Coaa ShipPlotter Overview
It provides detailed information about your position VHF range using a universal automatic identification system (AIS). These are system ships used to pass on their positions to each other as part of the global maritime safety system. It uses a cheap radio scanner in combination with one of these channels.
All ships, more than 300 tonnes, must have the AIS system that broadcasts information about the ship for any properly installed receiver. The frequencies used are 161,975 (Marine CH 87 AIS) and 162,025 (CH 88 AIS) MHz. Ships broadcast their identity, position, course, speed and purpose so that other ships can take into account the PC screen.
- In the Ship Plotter mode, each decoded message shows a simple language on your computer screen. There is one line on the screen of each ship. Depending on what messaging formats were obtained from the ship, the information may be the MSI number, its name, the destination, the expected date of arrival and time, length, beam and draft, and the latest position report received from the ship.
- Diagram mode shows the position and identification of each ship in the area. Shipplotter is with a map of the general purpose world, but you can add your own maps to Shipplotter by simply digitizing the chart to create a BMP or JPG graphic file and calibrate the chart using tools built into Shipplotter. Shipplotter can also read BSB -format maritime charts with which your system performance, memory, etc. can cope with the size of the chart.
- Diagram mode if you right -click one of the vessels displayed in the chart, the pop -up window (right) shows all the data received on the ship you choose. If you are connected to the Internet, the search button will enter the iTU ship’s call database to find out even more information about the ship, including its register port.
- Shipplotter can store all received and decoded in the text file. It can also protect messages in formats that are not deciphered, in hexadecimal format for subsequent decoding.
- Shipplotter can show the position and identification of the ships on the circle screen, which is located in the user position that can be a dynamic position based on the attached GPS receiver positions. This radar screen can be north up or up.
- Shipplotter can decipher the messages received from a special AIS receiver using the NMEA series format. Automatically concentrate the current position chart.
- Shipplotter can use the Internet to share your messages with others to see everyone’s messages received by the involved consumers.
- Shipplotter may share received messages with other examples of the program in the machinery on the local network.
Multiple sound panels – Shipplotter can choose between several audio cards if you have more than one. With the processing power, you can run several copies of Shipplotter processing audio from more than one source.
